USAC Battle at the Brickyard Event Information


Overnight Camping
Grounds will be locked from 8:00pm to 7:00am.
All guests must stay within the confines of our racing area.
There will be security staying overnight - if you have an emergency, contact them. There will be NO alcohol allowed on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway grounds.
Please be respectful of the Speedway grounds and the overnight camping privilege that we have been granted.

Schedule of Events
Thursday, July 7
12:00pm to 5:00pm - Parking of all vehicles, trailers and motorhomes
Sign-ins/Registration. All drivers and handlers will be required to to sign an Indianapolis Motor Speedway waiver. All drivers and handlers that have not run a USAC .25 race in 2016 will be required to sign a USAC waiver. Family members please come together to sign these forms.
Safety inspections as needed (See John Impy)

Friday, July 8
7:00am Gates open
8:00am Handlers/Drivers meeting in line up chute. Drivers bring RaceCeivers.
Practice begins after meeting. Practice will rotate by division for 2 rounds, 2 minutes per session.
Short break after practice, time will be announced.
Opening ceremonies.
Heats races will begin at designated time. All cars must be weighed and engines sealed immediately after exiting track. This is the handlers responsibility to make sure this requirement is completed.

Saturday, July 9
7:00am Gates open
8:00am Handlers/Drivers Meeting in the line up chute
Any heat races that were not completed Friday, will begin immediately after the meeting.
Lower mains will run immediately after the heats.
6:30pm Races will conclude for the day.
7:00pm All USAC .25 drivers (registered for the Brickyard) will have the privilege to drive their car around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for 1 lap. Cars will need to be transported to the front straightaway on their pit carts. Listen for any additional announcements at the conclusion of the heat races.

Sunday, July 10
7:00am - Gates Open
8:00am - Drivers/Handlers Meeting
8:30am - A mains


Other Notes of Interest

USAC apparel and Brickyard event shirts will be available

You will be issued parking plaques when you are parked on Thursday that need to be placed in your vehicle’s front window for the entire event.

IMS security (yellow shirts) must be respected and obeyed at all times

Beginning of USAC Sprint Week. Races are at Gas City Friday, Kokomo Saturday and Lawrenceburg Sunday. Please ask a USAC official for more information.

Late entrants wishing to sign-in after the designated closing time will be accepted, however, entrant will start at the tail of that particular class heat race and will not receive passing points for the heat race. If you can not make it to sign-ins on Friday you may have someone else draw your starting pill and pay the applicable entry fees.
